The Mission
Our mission is to design elegant, modern weddings while ensuring the planning process is simple and stress-free. We take care of the details, allowing our clients to immerse themselves in the enjoyable aspects—trying on dresses, menu tastings, selecting place settings, and touring venues—without the hassle of contracts, negotiations, or vendor follow-ups.
Our design philosophy is centered on balance: luxurious without being extravagant, sophisticated yet inviting, and refined but never impersonal.
The Values
Communication: We prioritize open and transparent communication throughout the planning process, ensuring we effectively address our clients' needs, wants, and concerns.
Simplicity: Wedding planning can be complex, but we strive to make it as streamlined as possible without sacrificing quality. Our organized approach includes worksheets, efficient email chains, and software systems to keep all information easily accessible.
Professionalism: While we build strong relationships with our clients and vendors, we understand that planning a wedding is a significant investment. We maintain a high level of professionalism to ensure that every dollar is spent wisely and that our clients feel confident in our expertise.
The LOCATIONS
With the stately elegance of Washington, DC, to the wine country of Virginia, and the coastal allure of Eastern Shore of Maryland, we can design nearly any vision that a couple brings our way.

THE DREAM TEAM |
MADISON HUMMEL
Founder & CEO | Wedding Director
Madison studied theatre directing at Virginia Tech, while simultaneously becoming certified as a wedding designer through the Event Leadership Institute. She gained industry experience by assisting various wedding planners in the DC area, and after college, her first job was as a vendor for an event installation company who designed for national brands such as Lyft, L'Oréal, CNN, and Guinness.
Madison began to dream about what it would be like to have her own event planning brand, one that had her special touch of elegance, sophistication, and of course, fun. She discovered that her passion was working with couples to design their dream weddings. Thus, Madison Avenue Events was formed. Since then, she has built her own team of (phenomenal) wedding planners, been interviewed by Southern Living & The Knot, and a guest speaker at her alma mater inspiring students in the fields of hospitality and business.
While she has an ample amount of creativity, her clients have often described her as being “down to business” and “a wedding superhero.” She has a sincere passion for making people feel understood, cared for, and special. One of her main passions is ensuring that couple’s get to enjoy their day—that they get to have time to eat, dance, and savor their once-in-a-lifetime wedding experience.
THE TEAM
-
PAIGE BECKER
WEDDING PLANNER
As a young girl, Paige spent hours on Pinterest curating images of what her dream wedding would look like. In 2022, she planned her own wedding and fell in love with the process. She began working for Madison Avenue Events soon after getting married. Paige started as an assistant willing to help out with anything Madison needed. She excelled so much in that role that she now is a lead wedding planner. She is also a Virginia Tech graduate, with one of her favorite courses being floral design.
-
CHELSEA WILLIAMSON
ASSOCIATE WEDDING PLANNER
As Paige’s sister, Chelsea has a natural talent for making wedding days stress-free. Before working for Madison Avenue Events, she worked as a professional princess performer, dazzling crowds with her singing and bringing fairy-tale moments to life. Madison and Chelsea met in theatre school, where her ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations made her an invaluable collaborator—just as it does in wedding planning. Whether orchestrating timelines or perfecting décor, she ensures every couple’s vision comes to life flawlessly.
-
LUKE HUMMEL
OPERATIONS & FINANCE ASSOCIATE
Luke assists Madison in managing all the behind-the-scenes business details that allow the company to run smoothly and effectively. He is currently working towards a degree in business finance at George Mason University. In his free time, he loves rowing on the water with his crew team.
-
LEXI THE BICHON
WEDDING SUPPORT ANIMAL
Lexi takes her role very seriously (especially if it involves treats). She ensures the team stays pawsitive during peak season, supervises zoom calls from Madison’s lap, and occasionally leads the team through down-dog yoga sessions. During her personal time, she is working on climbing up tree trunks to chase squirrels.
A few Facts about US
Our whole team loves Taylor Swift and is constantly sending reels to each other about her life and new music (although Luke rolls his eyes at this).
01
We love nice things, but if there is a quality target dupe, we will take it!
02
We went out to a piano bar for karaoke and our team agreed that our company’s signature cocktail is a French 75.
